Your feet are your body's structural foundation. If you feet have any dysfunction present, your body has to
compensate based on the foundation. When the feet change, your posture and weight distribution change also. This change affects not only the feet but also the knee, hip, pelvis, and spine. In most people, the arches fall causing the foot to become either pronated (flat footed) or supinated (weight placed on the outside of the foot). In most cases, when arches fall, complaints are not always seen in the foot but higher up in the lower extremity and spine.
Orthotics are often used for the following:
- Flat feet
- Supinated feet
- Excessive shoe wear on one side
- Plantar fascitis
- Bunions and corns
- Arch pain
- Low back pain
- Knee pain
- Hip pain
- Postural distortion
- Ankle pain
- Metatarsal pain
- Leg length discrepancy
At Seay Chiropractic & Wellness, we use custom made orthotics through Foot Levelers. Foot Levelers orthotics are known as spinal pelvic stabilizers because they not only stabilize the feet but also the knee, hip pelvis, and spine. Foot Levelers orthotics are not bulky and can fit easily into any shoe.

We utilize the Associate Platinum digital foot scanner by Foot Levelers to scan your feet to see if your arches have fallen. The digital image that is created serves as your mold for your customized orthotic. By digitally scanning the feet in a weight-bearing stance, a more accurate image of your arches and feet imbalance can be determined. Call the office to have your feet scanned!
