My Story
Growing up, I always knew I wanted to work in the medical field and help people who were suffering. I envisioned myself as a doctor who could truly aid in someone's recovery when they were in pain or dealing with illness. While studying for my BS in Biology at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, my perspective began to shift toward a wellness-focused approach. I became fascinated with how exercise, diet, and nutritional support could dramatically improve health—I was experiencing it firsthand in my own life. I started thinking this could be an incredible tool to help others, but traditional medicine didn't really emphasize these aspects.

I remember watching a workout program on ESPN where a chiropractor was leading the routines, and it sparked my curiosity about a profession that combined my passion for wellness with helping people heal. When I started my chiropractic education at Parker University in Dallas, Texas, I knew immediately this was my calling.
What I didn't anticipate was discovering how much broader this profession could be. Like most people, I initially thought chiropractic was just about treating musculoskeletal problems. I was thrilled to learn that chiropractors also help with nutrition, laboratory testing, detoxification, emotional health, and neurological issues—it was everything I'd been searching for.

Throughout my career since 2005, I've been driven by one core question: what's really causing this problem? This curiosity led me to spend countless hours studying Functional Medicine and holistic approaches because I believe true healing happens when we address the root cause, not just manage symptoms. There's something powerful about helping patients understand the "why" behind their health challenges.

My passion is providing not only pain relief but complete health and wellness at the deepest level through chiropractic care, proper nutrition, exercise, detoxification support, and emotional/spiritual health. However, I recognized that many people couldn't access comprehensive Functional Medicine due to cost barriers. That's why I founded Root Health—to make high-quality Functional Medicine affordable without compromising on care.

When I'm not in the office, I enjoy working out, cheering on the Tar Heels, and spending time with my wife Sarah and our four beautiful daughters.
